Cache is a brand concept intended to envision the future of supermarkets. Cacheing, the activity done by animals to store food, is also the main action that the identity is centered around. Customers download the Cache Register app and are encouraged to move throughout the store, scanning items that accumulate in their virtual shopping cart. Their order is then neatly packed in the back of the store and ready for to be shipped or carried out of store. This process allows for not only able-bodied consumers to enjoy the typical shopping experience, but for people with disabilities and the elderly as well. The visuals developed from the same forms that make up the scan codes, making for a consistent yet versatile identity.
